10 Tips To Teaching Skills
DIVISION 1 & 2
Below are some resources and worksheets that can be used in division 1 to encourage critical thinking at a young age. This will encourage young students to begin reflective thinking and exploring their own view-points. As this progresses, students will begin to understand view-points of others, and transfer this type of thinking to outside of the classroom. As teachers it is important we set our students up for success outside of the classroom, so critical thinking is important to start at a young age to encourage a well-rounded citizen.

Critical Thinking challenges
Using prompts can encourage students to develop both their logical reasoning and creative problem solving skills.
Prompts can be included cross-disciplinary. Skills gained through critical thinking challenges will help students come
up with reasonable solutions to various issues both inside and outside of the classroom. Having the ability to be aware of ones own view-points in addition to multiple perspectives is key to problem solving.
